Amanda Bynes' parents have no control over wild child
Old habits die hard. At least that seems to be the case for Amanda Bynes, who has just landed herself in trouble with the law, again, for yet another DUI.
The Hairspray actress was arrested for a DUI early on Sunday morning. She was held at the Van Nuys, California, station on $15,000 bail before she was released at 12:44 p.m. that same day.
So, what do her parents Rick Bynes and Lynn Organ think about the whole ordeal? Turns out they didn't even know that it happened and only found out about it through the press.
"Nobody from the cops called us," Rick told reporters outside his home on Monday, according to a video taken by X17 Online, via E! News. "I know nothing, and the police don't seem to know much, so I don't know."
Since the actress's parents temporary conservatorship over their daughter and her affairs came to an end, they have had very little control over her and apparently they have not heard much from her. "I mean other than greetings," Rick revealed, adding, "Once again, she is 28. She does what she wants."
Bynes' current whereabouts remain unknown to her parents, with her father revealing that she has not been home since her arrest. In fact, she has not been at home since "June maybe, because she was in Irvine, going to school."
It was thought that Bynes was on the mend and that she had settled for a quiet life and a new profession studying at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) campus in Irvine, California.
Whether the former child star is currently in Irvine now, or somewhere else is still unknown, but her dad seems to think she may be in New York.
"I know she likes New York, so that is what I am thinking," he told reporters when asked where he thought his daughter may be.
