Watch New Yorkers belt out Annie‘s ‘Tomorrow’ (VIDEO)

Annie has been inspiring people with its lighthearted comedy since its original premiere on Broadway in 1977. When a film version was released in 1982, Annie lit up the big screen and has been a classic ever since.

The new movie from Sony Pictures premieres on Dec. 19 and features a new fantastic cast with Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhané Wallis, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale and Cameron Diaz in leading roles. To prove how relevant the musical still is, the Annie team tested New Yorkers to see how well they knew the lyrics to the classic “Tomorrow.” Turns out almost everybody knew the words and the tune. Watch the heartwarming results below.

If you’ve got a musical spirit or even just love the song, submit yourself singing “Tomorrow” and be part of a future fan cut of the song. You can submit your version using #AnnieMovie for a chance to be in the video.
