George Clooney and his human rights lawyer fiancée, Amal Alamuddin, finally wed in an extravagant, weekend-long celebration that, according to the New York Daily News, cost the pair $13 million.
The Brad Pitt vs. George Clooney weddings
If you think there are better things to drop $13 million on, you’re probably right. Here are five things we think might have been a better use of the Oscar-winning actor’s cash. Though, let’s be honest — even after the $13 million wedding, he has plenty of cash left over to buy all of these things, too.
1. 6 Tibetan Mastiffs
Heralded as the most expensive dog money can buy, Tibetan Mastiff puppies go for a staggering $1.9 million each, meaning George and Amal’s wedding bill would only have covered six of the pups, with a little money to spare. The dogs are so expensive because they’re seen as the ultimate status symbol for the wealthy elite in China. C’mon, George, don’t you just want to hug one (or six)?
2. 57 Bottles of Ley .925 Pasión Azteca tequila
We know George loves his tequila. Like, he really loves his tequila. If he’s not tequila-ed out after his wedding, the $13 million he spent over the weekend could buy 57 bottles of Ley .925 Pasión Azteca tequila, the most expensive tequila in the world at $225,000 per bottle. Bottoms up!

3. 2,598 Bottles of Tenuta dell’Ornellaia Masseto Toscana wine
After their tequila-soaked nuptials, maybe George and Amal are ready for a break from their favorite spirit. If so, that $13 million could supply the couple with 2,598 bottles of Tenuta dell’Ornellaia Masseto Toscana, the most expensive Tuscan wine that money can buy. Each bottle rings in at $5,003, but with as much as the happy couple loves Italy, they’re sure to be OK with dropping that kind of cash for the local drink to enjoy during their time in the country.
4. 3 Lamborghini Veneno Roadsters
If Italian wine isn’t George’s jam, maybe he’s into Italian cars. Forbes has named the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster the most expensive car on the market in 2014 at $4.5 million apiece. Lamborghini says it plans to build only nine copies of the car, which has a top speed of 221 miles per hour. For $13 million, George could buy three: One for himself, one for Amal and one for me (please).
5. Swett, South Dakota (32 times)
Up for grabs for only $399,000, the town of Swett, South Dakota, is a steal that George Clooney could have bought 32 times with the cash he dropped on his wedding. Thirty-two times. Thirty-two. Times.
