We’re so used to the “Dark Horse” songstress having every hair color under the rainbow as well as a selection of bright couture wigs she wore on her Prismatic World Tour that were designed by celebrity hairstylist Clyde Haygood — so it’s not as though her latest look is all that shocking.
Perry is an avid social media user, so it comes as no surprise that she’d share her look with her fans. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the singer posted a picture of her new hairstyle alongside a snap of Animal — the wild, drummer character from The Muppet Show.

“Got dat hot wheels hurrr/play doe pink do,” Perry captioned the photo of her new fiery hair shade (with her dark roots still peeking out), which appropriately features the phrase, “I am an animal.”
According to Hollywood Life, the new look is the handiwork of Daniel Moon, a colorist at the Andy Lecompte Salon in Los Angeles, California — who also has given Kylie Jenner and Nicole Richie their daring hairdos.

Love it or hate it, one thing is for sure: Perry’s hair inspiration is never dull! It has already been slime green, pink, purple, blond, black, blue and now red. So perhaps yellow will be next?
