Chicago Fire's Molly Glynn killed in freak weather accident
What started out as a beautiful weekend bike ride with her husband ended in tragedy for Chicago Fire actress Molly Glynn.
Glynn and her husband, fellow actor Joe Foust, were enjoying a long ride in a forest preserve trail north of Chicago, Illinois, when they were caught in a sudden storm.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Foust said just as Glynn called out that the pair should take cover, he heard a loud crack and saw a tree fall in his bike's rearview mirror, which landed on his wife.
The National Weather Service reported winds of 70 mph or more in the area.
Foust announced the accident and Glynn's subsequent death on Facebook.
Glynn had a recurring role as an emergency room doctor on Chicago Fire. She also appeared on episodes of Boss and Early Edition. She leaves behind two sons, Chance, 17, and Declan, 13.
