Celebrity chef Todd English has found himself in trouble with the law and was arrested on Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
According to People, police in Southampton, New York, said English, whose full name is William Todd English, was arrested on Sunday morning on a county road in Long Island, New York.

According to Perez Hilton, English was pulled over around 3:30 a.m. near Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in the Hamptons on Sunday, when he drifted out of his lane.
The Iron Chef USA star appeared in court on Sunday, and authorities said he posted $1,500 bail after being charged with misdemeanor DWI as well as making an improper turn.
However, English’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., is very unhappy with the charges and insists his client is innocent, saying that they “adamantly deny the allegations” and “look forward to addressing this matter in a court of law.”

The celebrity chef had apparently been enjoying a few glasses of wine during dinner celebrations and was with his new girlfriend at the time of his arrest. English previously called off his engagement to his fiancée Erica Wang in 2009 after she was charged with assault, and authorities accused her of hitting him with a metal wrist watch.
Also, according to Perez Hilton, a source said English had, “been celebrating his birthday since Thursday,” and that he didn’t just have a few drinks at dinner.
