Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross to wed this weekend
Wedding bells are ringing! Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are getting married this weekend.
Simpson and Ross are set to wed at the home of Ross' mother, the legendary Diana Ross, in Greenwich, Connecticut, Entertainment Tonight confirms. ET reports that the celebration will be a small one, with only family and close friends in attendance.
No details about the wedding are available yet, but if the soiree is anything like Simpson's bridal shower or the couple's engagement party, the nuptials will have a bohemian vibe. Simpson's sister, songstress Jessica Simpson, threw a boho-style pool party for her sibling about two weeks ago, where guests constructed their own individualized flower wreaths. At her engagement party in March, Ashlee wore a flowing tunic and the festivities were punctuated by white feathers and sparkling white lights.
Ashlee and Evan went public with their relationship last summer and Evan popped the question in January while the two lovebirds were on vacation in Hawaii."I'm so in love and we've got amazing things going on," Evan told The Insider of his bride-to-be in November while at the premiere for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. "And we inspire each other," he added.
This will be Ashlee's second marriage. The "Pieces of Me" singer married Fall Out Boy rocker, Pete Wentz, in 2008 and and the two share a son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, who is 5 years old. The couple filed for divorce in 2011. "It's like Ashlee's been my best friend for five years," Wentz said around the time they separated. "She's the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her."
Love is certainly in the air this week. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt quietly wed at a secret ceremony in France last weekend. Pitt and Jolie have been partners for nine years and have six children. Rumor has it that Jenny McCarthy and her fiancé, Donnie Wahlberg, are also set to marry this weekend surrounded by friends and family in New York.
