Rap mogul Suge Knight released from the hospital
Suge Knight may very well have nine lives. The music mogul was shot six times during a pre-MTV Video Music Awards party, but he was released from the hospital only four days later.
Cops are reportedly investigating several "people of interest," according to the New York Daily News, in the nightclub shooting that happened on Sunday night, the day before the VMAs.
"He went straight home and is going to heal up in a few days and be stronger than ever," Knight’s friend, Keith Middlebrook, told the NY Daily News. "I talked to him today. He's tough. When he was shot, he walked out of the building. He's a pretty tough cat."
Other celebs, like Katt Williams and Justin Bieber, were also in attendance when shots were fired. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. John Corina said investigators are looking for suspects with gang affiliations, but have not heard anything about the shooting being about payback for the 1997 shooting of rapper, Notorious B.I.G. In the past, Knight has denied he ordered the murder after Tupac Shakur was murdered just six months earlier.
"We've heard nothing about that, no connection to that," Lt. Corina said.
Other witnesses also said Justin Bieber or Chris Brown may have been the targets and Knight was protecting them. But the sheriff's department said there was no evidence of that.
But Knight is apparently not talking to police in this case, although Corina hinted that could be simply because of sedation.
