Daniel Radcliffe has passionate views on love, and his girlfriend Erin Darke is one lucky lady to have nabbed a man with such a mature outlook on relationships.

Radcliffe was recently promoting his upcoming film What If (which just so happens to be his first romantic comedy, but probably not his last) during an interview with Parade. And he let his romantic side show as he gushed about what it's like to be in love.

When asked by Parade on how you know whether someone loves you or not, Radcliffe explained, "It's very, very hard to know. We all grow up with an idea of what love is. It's this all-conquering thing that when you find it, all the other problems you have will be overwhelmed and conquered by it," the Woman in Black actor continued. "Part of the process of growing up is realizing that that's not how it works.

"Actually, there are lots of other things that need to be put into a relationship as well [as love]. Especially if you're in that situation where you are a friend and are thinking about potentially jeopardizing your friendship for something [more]. That is a situation which most people are in at some point."

Radcliffe is fully aware of the fact that love is difficult to find, and perhaps that's why he is so thankful for the role that his girlfriend and former costar plays in his life.

"We met on the set of Kill Your Darlings, and just got on immediately," he said of Darke. "It was one of those instant things where you're like, 'Oh, I really like this person.' You just have a connection with somebody, and then suddenly it's incredibly easy to talk to them. It was one of those sort of situations," Radcliffe gushed.

He continued to explain how their love formed, saying, "I'm not a very chilled-out person a lot of the time. But there's a relaxed quality to our conversation. There's no effort in it. It's totally flowing. It's a wonderful thing."
