Emmys surprise: Amanda Peet shows off baby bump
The Emmy Awards red carpet is always a place for surprises. For Amanda Peet, it was all about her unexpected baby bump.
The actress's husband, David Benioff, is the showrunner for HBO's Game of Thrones. The series is up for 19 awards this Emmys season. Peet was escorting her husband to the red carpet event.
The mother of two, wearing a gorgeous Giambattista Valli floral gown, confirmed her pregnancy to Us Weekly and shared her family's emotions about the arrival of a third child.
She explained, "They're pretty excited. The older one is pretty excited, the middle one is not so sure."
The couple is already parents to two daughters, Frances, 7, and Molly, 4.
The pregnancy is a surprise to Peet's fans, because she told the entertainment magazine that she was done having kids back in 2010.
She said at the time, "I'm really old," even though her spouse wanted one more child. "[He] was like, we have to wait three years," she added. "And I was like, we don't have three years! We'll be too old at that point."
They obviously changed their minds and the former Good Wife star is past her first trimester. However, her pregnancy seems to be going well.
"It's OK! It's OK!" Peet laughed. "42 and pregnant is quite something," she added with a laugh. "I'll be taking these heels off in a minute."
Peet wasn't the only one with a baby bump at the Emmys. Hayden Panettiere showed off her pregnant belly with a plunging metallic gown designed by Lorena Sarbu. The glowing mother-to-be put her assets on display with a deep V-neckline.
The Hollywood baby bump trend continues!
