American Horror Story sets premiere: Watch the new teaser
FX has finally set the premiere date forAmerican Horror Story: Freak Show and it will arrive just in time for Halloween.
I don't know about anyone else, but the more I hear about the latest installment of AHS, the more I start to practically vibrate with anticipation. So far, I'd have to list Asylum as my favorite season of FX's haunting series. But with each new announcement about Freak Show, it looks like it might jump right to the top of my list.
While most people might find the idea of an old-fashioned freak show and carnival too frightening to contemplate, I think those are the perfect settings for some spine-tingling horror. The fact it will premiere just a few weeks before Halloween is what I call perfect timing, as well. AHS: Freak Show will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. on FX.
Check out the new official description of the series from FX:
Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.
Not scared yet? Well how about when you find out that the show will feature a character known as Clown Killer? Creator Ryan Murphy revealed that lovely tidbit in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, calling the character "the most terrifying clown ever!"
Freaks, killer clowns and an old circus: These are the things of which nightmares are made. As if that wasn't enough, check out the new teaser video.
