19 Kids and Counting star Jill Duggar is pregnant
There's a lot of excitement in the Duggar household right now because not only has Jessa gotten engaged to her boyfriend Ben Seewald just last week, but Jill and her husband Derick Dillard are expecting their first child together.
The happy couple's exciting news comes just two months after they tied the knot, and they chose to announce their pregnancy on Wednesday.
"We're having a baby!" the 19 Kids and Counting star revealed to People. "We are so excited."
The lovebirds married during a large wedding back in June, in Springdale, Arkansas, among 1,000 family members and friends. It was also the first time the pair had ever kissed.
Jill is the fourth-oldest child of the Duggar clan, and she will be the second Duggar child to start a family of their own. Her brother Josh and his wife Anna are already parents to three children.
Jill suspected that she might be pregnant, but several pregnancy tests came back with a negative result, People reports. It was not until Jill tried one of her mother Michelle's tests that she discovered she was pregnant because the result came back positive!
"It was surreal," Derick said. "We were shocked. Both of us are so excited."
And the newlyweds are not the only ones to be excited; the Duggar family is just as thrilled as they are.
"About 30 days after Jill and Derick got married they gathered everyone in the living room and shared the news," Jim Bob, Jill's father, revealed to the magazine. "Everyone was clapping and cheering, and we were in shock, too."
Congratulations to the happy couple on the news of Jill's pregnancy! The second season of their hit TLC show 19 Kids and Counting is set to be an exciting one, too, because fans can see the couple's wedding, which will air during the show's season that begins on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 9/8c.
