Kourtney Kardashian’s dream home has turned out to be a complete nightmare!
The reality TV star and her beau Scott Disick, along with their children Mason, 4, and Penelope, 2, were all ready to move into their swanky $8.5 million mansion in Calabasas, California, which was allegedly bought from Keyshawn Johnson.
However, the family has now had to make alternative plans because they’ve uncovered a dangerous infestation in their home. Upon further inspection, the family discovered the house was infested with dangerous mold, which had been masked by a fresh coat of paint, TMZ reports.
Kardashian’s decorator apparently found the mold when he installed some fixtures while the family was away in the Hamptons filming their spin-off show Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons. Now, they have been forced to leave their home (especially because the mom-of-two is pregnant with baby No. 3) and check into the very posh Montage hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on Monday.
According to the site, Kardashian plans to sue whoever is responsible for concealing the mold and tricked her into buying the house.
“It’s true,” a source confirmed to Us Weekly of TMZ’s reports although the source insists Kardashian is not upset about the whole situation.
“She’s not upset, but she can’t move into the house with the mold situation,” the source said.
Johnson’s lawyer released the following statement on his behalf, “There was no water damage to the house I sold to Ms. Kardashian. It is a new home that I built less than 10 years ago. It never had any water or mold problems,” the Daily Mail reports.
“Prior to sale, the house was thoroughly inspected by excellent, experienced inspectors that they hired. I don’t know what has transpired since they moved into the house but I wish them well.”
Hmmm. Well, we hope Kardashian and Disick manage to fix their mold problem soon so they can move into their new home.
