Christina Aguilera gives birth to a baby girl
On Saturday, Christina Aguilera and fiancé Matt Rutler welcomed a baby girl to the world. According to Us Weekly, the songstress gave birth via C-section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. No word on the baby girl's name yet.
Aguilera's had a big weekend with the delivery of her second child. She and her ex-husband are already parents to 6-year-old son Max. It's been a big year for the powerhouse singer, too. Back in January, news of her engagement to Rutler surfaced, and now they've expanded their family.
Aguilera recently put her baby pride on display for the latest issue of V Magazine, taking it all off and showing off in a belly-baring photoshoot by Brian Bowen Smith. In the feature, the singer says that she wanted to capture some "some blissful moments" before she gave birth. Aguilera isn't known for being camera-shy, so it's safe to say her desire to get nude wasn't a big surprise, either. "As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store," she told the magazine.
Pregnancy also had an impact on the singer's professional life. Less than a week ago, Xtina took to Twitter to share a shot of her full-term belly bump. While she wasn't nude in this photo, the big-voiced diva was in the recording studio with a pair of headphones next to her belly. In the caption, she wrote: "Baby girl getting first listen to what mama's been creating in the studio." Bring on the new music!
