Woman files maternity suit against Jay Z and Beyoncé
A woman named Tina Seals has reportedly filed a maternity suit against Jay Z and Beyoncé. That's right. A maternity suit. Meaning she's claiming she's the true mother of the power couple's little one, Blue Ivy Carter.
According to Jezebel, the legal document from Seals alleges that she was previously associated in some way with Beyoncé and Jay Z.
As if the rampant divorce rumors weren't enough.
The story, which The Hollywood Gossip broke this morning, is gaining traction because of the recent news that Jay Z and Beyoncé's marriage is on the rocks. Plus, when Beyoncé was pregnant there were reports that she allegedly "faked" the baby bump for the media and actually used a surrogate. There was even footage from the singer's appearance on an Australian TV show in the fall of 2011 that apparently shows Beyoncé's pregnant belly folding in on itself.
Beyoncé addressed the rumors a few months later, saying, "It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid."
We're calling foul on this whole thing. Starcasm is reporting that this isn't the first maternity suit Seals has filed against celebrities and their children. Apparently, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had a suit brought against them in regard to North West. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were also targets. Seal went after Michael Jackson's children Prince, Paris and Blanket. She even went so far as to try a maternity suit with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Obviously, all the previous cases were thrown out or dismissed. Starcasm notes that Seals only seems to be seeking monetary compensation.
So far, Beyoncé and Jay Z haven't commented on the claims. They're probably both rolling their eyes and enjoying the remainder or their On the Run tour, which concludes in September with two shows in Paris. Beyoncé recently took to Instagram to describe the tour with husband Jay Z as "the best tour of my life."
