Chloë Grace Moretz has revealed that she can relate to the character Mia Hall in her latest film, If I Stay, because she is not ever going to let anything get in the way of her dreams.
“One of the first things that I was able to justify and connect with on a personal level with Mia was her passion for music and how she found it at 8 years old,” the 17-year-old beauty told E! News while promoting her forthcoming film. “I found acting when I was 5 years old so we both kind of had these careers that we chose ourselves to kind of follow and follow our dreams.
“We’re kind of the ones that try to stay on track. We’re the ones to tell ourselves to keep going and to not let anything bring you down or change you,” she added.
The Carrie actress’s revelation puts a stop to the recent boyfriend rumors involving Brooklyn Beckham, because Moretz is still extremely focused on her career and she’s hinted that it’s really her one true love, at least, for the time being.
“We wouldn’t give up on our one true love,” Moretz told the site about her fondness for acting, while comparing it to her character in If I Stay‘s dedication to the cello. “No matter how much we love a guy or how much we love whoever else, we care the most about what we found first and what our one true love was first.”
