Kate Upton's supposed weight gain fuels pregnancy rumors
Kate Upton appeared to be rounder in shape as she was tossed a ball during boyfriend Justin Verlander's baseball game, and speculations exploded that she may be pregnant.
Upton was cheering Verlander on during the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees game on Monday when he tossed her a ball as she sat behind the dugout. A video of that event made the rounds online, causing rumors about a possible pregnancy because she appeared to have gained some extra pounds.
More speculation was fueled when The Hollywood Gossip claimed Upton made a toast with water instead of Champagne during a dinner date with Verlander. Then, additional rumors arose as the Sports Illustrated model shopped with pal Lily Aldridge in a very loose-fitting dress that seemed to hide a possible growing belly.
A slew of fat and pregnant comments flooded the social stratosphere, some even going as far as calling the blond bombshell "fat and gross." But truer fans praised Upton, saying that pregnant or not, she looked adorable and beautiful as she caught Verlander's ball toss.
"No matter what their baby-or-no baby status is, Kate and Justin make the cutest couple ever," Hollywood Life wrote.
Upton is certainly no stranger to criticism over her curvaceous body, however. All her life she's had to endure body-related issues and is often called out for gaining weight. But while she may still have insecurities about her shape, Upton told OK! magazine recently she has learned to feel good about herself and won't let that stop her from living her life.
"I still have body insecurities all the time," she said. "But when I'm feeling insecure, I still live and go out and have fun."
