Chris Pratt admits his priorities shifted after birth of his son

Chris Pratt is a doting dad and happy family man now, but he admits that for the first couple months of fatherhood, he was terrified and it caused his priorities to majorly shift.

"Our number one priority was attempting to conquer this town as actors and we supported each other in our quests," Pratt recently told People magazine. "Now with a kid, our priority list has shifted, and he's at the top of it."

Pratt, who played a slightly frazzled, yet loving, father opposite Vince Vaughn in Delivery Man, and his wife, Anna Faris, welcomed their little guy, Jack, nine weeks earlier than his original due date in 2012. Though Pratt and Faris instantly fell in love with their son, the couple lived in fear for quite a while as Jack battled in intensive care for an entire month. "We were scared for a long time. We prayed a lot," Pratt said. "It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it. The baby was so beautiful to us and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect."

Jack is almost 2 years old now, in perfect health and the little boy has an awesome personality that the rest of the family is banking on, according to Pratt. "He's such a fighter, he's amazing. He's so open and there's no fear in him no matter what," the proud papa told People. "He's so charming that my plan is to just let him take care of us as soon as he's old enough."

Until Jack is old enough to step in and take over the Pratt household financial responsibilities, his mom and dad are doing just fine on their own. Pratt is currently leading an ensemble cast in the highly anticipated Marvel comic film, Guardians of the Galaxy, which hits theaters this Friday.
