EXCLUSIVE: The Voice’s Christina Grimmie shares her "Songs for the Road" playlist
Whether on Season 6 of NBC's The Voice or on her own YouTube channel, fans of breakout star Christina Grimmie know what the vocal extraordinaire likes to sing. Grimmie is close to wrapping up her summer trek with the rest of the show's contestants, but the star let SheKnows take ahold of her iPod and discover 10 songs that get the singing sensation pumped while she's on the road.
Despite choosing to perform sing-along hits by Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry during her time on the NBC singing competition, Grimmie's on-the-road playlist is a bit more energetic. Not only does she have tracks from Avicii ("Lay Me Down") and Zedd (the all-star collab with Kevin Drew and Hayley Williams for the remix of "Stay the Night"), but the singer also has a fixing of Skrillex ("Ease My Mind"). Looks like someone has a liking for some EDM.
Some of the not-so-surprising additions to Grimmie's on-tour tunes include Sia and Maroon 5. Adam Levine was her show coach, so her inclusion of "Maps" might be necessary. You gotta show some love to your roots.
Grimmie is currently on the road for The Voice's annual tour, which wraps up Saturday in Redmond, Washington. She has less than a week of touring left, but she also has some pretty big things on her plate for the future. Early this month, Grimmie took to Facebook to announce that her new single would be called "Must Be Love." The track is scheduled to drop July 31.
