The future awaits: Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is coming
Good news if you are a fan of the 2010 hit film Hot Tub Time Machine: The sequel will be hitting theaters this Christmas.
The science-fiction adventure comedy sequel may have taken four years to get going, but fans have been excited since the trailer was unveiled on Thursday at the San Diego, California, Comic-Con, Ace Showbiz reports.
Hot Tub Time Machine may not have been a box-office hit, but it certainly gathered fans via home video sales, and the three-and-a-half-minute trailer shows why as it's jam-packed with humor, friendship and crazy futuristic outfits.
Unfortunately, John Cusack, who starred as Adam in the original movie, will not be returning to the sequel, but it's not going to be any less funny because Adam Scott (from Parks and Recreation) will take his place and star as his son. However, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are all back for another round of booze-soaked hot tub fun.
Steve Pink returns as director and we can thank Josh Heald for the script (he also wrote the first) as this time around the cast travels to the future to stop the murder of Lou (Corddry's character) from happening in the past after he gets shot in a rather intimate place by a time-traveling assassin. Sounds entertaining, to say the least.
