Maisie Williams throws a Twitter fit at British Airways
Maisie Williams isn't afraid to let a major airline know exactly what's on her mind. Taking to Twitter, the Game of Thrones star has vented her frustrations about being denied access to a British Airways lounge.
The actress, best known to HBO fans as Arya Stark from the hit show, claims she doesn't want special treatment, but she also wants to be allowed into the adults-only area.
Over the weekend, she wrote, "Denied from the business lounge once again for being under 18 and without an adult.. @British_Airways sort your s*** out."
British Airways is sticking to its guns while trying to make nice. The airline responded to her venting by writing, "@Maisie_Williams Hi Maisie. We're sorry if you were disappointed, lounge guests must be 18 or older. We look forward to welcoming you soon."
The pierced darling didn't let it drop right then, however. She went on to write back, "Yes.. @British_Airways fully understand that, my question is why? Why can we travel alone but not use the lounge? It makes no sense."
Even though some believe Williams' claim that she wasn't asking for special treatment isn't exactly true, one fellow star has this youngster's back.
Check out who jumped in on the conversation and got a retweet from the budding actress.
Most fans have responded to Williams' British Airways battle with support and understanding.
"Everyone smells old in there anyways! We don't wanna sit in your dumb stupid lounge," one person wrote over the weekend. Another added, "The crap you are denied now will seem that much sweeter when its unlocked in a couple years."
Luckily, there's less than a year of being left out of the lounge for this young woman. Williams is due to celebrate turning 18 next April. Game of Thrones' Season 5 debut date has yet to be announced, however.
