Erin Andrews is definitely returning to Dancing With the Stars this fall despite her new job replacing Pam Oliver at Fox Sports.
The new executive producer for DWTS, Rob Wade, confirmed that Andrews is coming back to host the popular dance competition for her second season this fall. “We have Erin and Tom coming back and we’re looking forward to it,” Wade assured.

After the announcement that the sportscaster is taking on a new post at Fox, fans feared she was leaving her host position in the ballroom. However, she is apparently going to take on both jobs, and producers made sure it would all fit in with Andrews’ schedule.
“We kind of knew before,” Wade continued. “We knew she had this other job and we made sure that would work out in the fall. So yeah, that’s what we worked out. It’s great and we’re very supportive of her.”

Things are more uncertain for the fan-favorite ballroom pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, however. After coming back to win Season 18 following a couple of seasons off, the Ukrainian hunk is not sure he wants to keep dancing for the show. But Wade said he hopes Chmerkovskiy comes back in some capacity next season anyway.
“I think there’s a number of different things we can talk to him about and the way he’d be involved in the show,” Wade said. “Maks will always be part of Dancing With the Stars in some way.”
Recent rumors have claimed Chmerkovskiy may take on a judge position on the competition show after Len Goodman announced he might be retiring from dance judging and DWTS.
