Suspicious betting hints at another Kate Middleton pregnancy
Oddsmakers in Britain sure like to bet on the royal family, but the latest odds have been suspended because of suspicious activity. Could the activity be a clue that the future king and queen of England are expecting another child?
Prince William and Kate Middleton's son George is getting ready to celebrate his first birthday, but it's possible the couple is already thinking of their next child. A British bookmaker called Coral decided to halt all bets because of a series of bets were placed Monday night.
"When bets come in at once late in the evening, it sets alarm bells off," Coral's Nicola McGeady told People. "It's been quiet and then all of a sudden, a week before Prince George's birthday, this happened. The bets sealed our opinion that someone knows something we don't."
Can the suspicious activity mean that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are about to announce a big secret? Before the betting was suspended, odds were 10-1 that Middleton would announce a second pregnancy in July. But after the sudden bets came in, it was cut to even money.
This isn't the first time the duchess has dealt with pregnancy rumors, and it likely won't be the last. One of Middleton's former friends said she believes another royal baby is coming, but the family has yet to confirm the news.
But Kate Middleton doesn't exactly have time to think about those things right now, and she is preparing for her first solo tour in September. She will be headed to Malta without her husband or child.
