Lauren Conrad’s pre-wedding plan: No dieting or exercise

Lauren Conrad is getting ready for the big day — but don’t expect her to be on a crash diet like plenty of other stars. The reality star was asked what she is doing to prepare for her wedding — and her answer was: nothing she doesn’t want to do.

“I’m not a huge fan of the gym, to be honest,” Conrad told People. “When I have to go to the gym and put an hour in, I’m just staring at the clock.”

But if you think Conrad is going the dieting route instead of the exercise route, you’d be wrong. She said, “I really love food. I’m not good at dieting. I try to make smart choices but just eat a little bit less.”

Conrad’s Hills friends are either getting married or having babies these days, and she seems happy to be planning her own wedding, to singer William Tell. She does exercise, but she only does it in ways that don’t feel like exercise to her.

“I just like getting out, like going on a hike, going on the kayaks, going for a run on the beach,” she explained.

Conrad also tries to cut down on her sugar by promoting a new Truvia-sweetend rum and getting her fiancé to do the same (whether or not he knows it).

“Boys never want sugary drinks, but I feel like with these it’s like slipping your little kid broccoli,” she said. “They don’t know you’re giving them a low-calorie beverage.”

The former reality star is staying busy these days, promoting her clothing line at Kohl’s, and of course getting ready to say her “I dos.”
