Nicole Richie says she's responsible for Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden
Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are very happy right now with their relationship, and Nicole Richie says she's taking full responsibility for it.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday, Richie was asked if she had anything to do with her brother-in-law's budding relationship with the Sex Tape star. "I'm going to take responsibility for everything!" she joked.
The blue-haired fashion designer added that she was all for Diaz and Madden's relationship when a viewer asked if she approved of the new pairing.
"I approve of anything that's going to make Benji happy," Richie said. "I am a devoted sister-in-law."
Richie, of course, is married to Madden's twin brother, Joel, and the couple has two small children together, Harlow, 6, and Sparrow, 4. She continued saying that she was "happy for anyone who is happy," and she just wants for "everyone to be surrounded with love."
Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Diaz revealed that she did not want kids because "it's so much more work to have children." The 41-year-old, blond actress added that being responsible for another human being is not something she saw herself taking on. However, sometimes she questions her choice to not become a mom.
"Not having a baby might really make things easier, but that doesn't make it an easy decision," Diaz went on. "I like protecting people, but I was never drawn to being a mother."
However, for now she is happy with her life and is enjoying time with her new man — letting it take her wherever it will. "With Benji, it's about being happy and taking things as they come."
