The wheels have come off Britney Spears’ vocal bus again, and we have to say, it’s pretty spectacular. This is not an isolated incident, however. Join us in a brief recap of some of Spears’ most ear-bending blunders.
In Britney Spears‘ latest vocal faux pas, we hear her belt out “Aliens” from her most recent album Britney Jean. Her track producer was quick to release a statement saying this was a warm-up sesh. Whatever it is, a few seconds of this vocal wreck had us wondering if aliens had invaded Britney’s throat.

Britney Spears live
Uh-oh. It would appear the adage, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” doesn’t apply to poor Britney. During a live performance, something went terribly askance — and the audience’s ears were the victims. Hey, we can’t perform a strenuously choreographed dance routine and sing at the same time either.

“Break the Ice”
This little piece of Spears’ studio vocals isn’t terrible, it’s just sort of high-pitched and annoying. We have to ask, would the former The X Factor judge have made it past auditions with this? When you listen to this track, couldn’t you just choke on the irony that Spears judged other talent?
We can’t decide if this vocals cut of “Womanizer” makes our ears bleed because the vocals are a bit weak or if it’s because the song makes us n-n-n-uts. Either way, Spears sort of sounds like a little kid pretending to be Britney Spears.
OK, in Britney’s defense, it was surprisingly difficult to come up with five horrendous vocal breakdowns, so we had to resort to including Spears’ 2007 VMAs performance. This debacle makes our ears uncomfortable, but it’s really our eyes that suffer the most. Spears is awkward, offbeat and confused. Delicious.
