Courteney Cox engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid
Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid have only been dating for a few months, but they are apparently smitten. They announced their engagement in the most modern way possible — on Twitter.
Only a few months after her ex-husband welcomed a new child, Courteney Cox has announced she is engaged. Cox has been quietly dating Snow Patrol band member, Johnny McDaid, for months, but it looks like their relationship is more serious than anyone imagined.
Both Cox and McDaid tweeted the news, along with the same photo, on Thursday, June 26.
Cox and McDaid were first seen out together back in December, when they both attended Jennifer Aniston's holiday party. Friend Ed Sheeran was the first to acknowledge, back in April, that the couple had moved in together.
"I'm not sure that it's public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn't have said anything — but, yes, they're already living together," Sheeran said, according to Us Weekly. "Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn't be happier."
Cox and McDaid spoke with Us Weekly shortly after, both looking like they were completely smitten.
"He supports me in every way," Cox said. "He supports me creatively. He really believed in the movie... and not just because he likes me, though I know that helps."
"Courteney is the most completely confident person I've ever met — at everything," McDaid said. "She gets music. She gets art. She gets the way a scene gets constructed, the way dialogue works. And she puts it all together in her mind and then explains it to the world and makes movies that make people laugh and cry, squirm and jump, all those things."
Cox and ex-husband, David Arquette, finalized their divorce back in May 2013. He became a dad again in April of this year, when his girlfriend, Christina McLarty, gave birth to their son, Charlie.
