A couple that sings together, stays together. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman showed off their musical talents last week to a group of patients while visiting the Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
On Friday, the couple decided to lift some spirits in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit wing. Urban played “Amazing Grace” on his guitar while Kidman and the staff sang along to the music. The concert was so informal that the American Idol judge was sitting on a counter with everyone surrounding him.
The starstruck employees all had their smartphones capturing the special moment with the Aussie couple. It was a moving day for the hospital, which posted a thank-you note on its website.
“We want to say a huge THANK YOU to Nicole, Keith and Swisse [Wellness, a vitamin company] for lifting up the spirits of some of our most deserving patients, families and staff.”
The power duo was in town to attend the Swisse Wellness Australia Celebrate Life Ball, so this was a pre-event trip to honor the hospital benefiting from the money raised later that evening. The Grace of Monaco star is one of the charity’s ambassadors.
The evening was a masquerade ball with Kidman donning an exclusive mask designed by Melbourne milliner Kerrie Stanley. The mask was raffled off as a part of the fundraising event.
