Beyoncé may not have reacted when her sister Solange Knowles attacked her husband Jay Z in an elevator brawl that took place after the Met Gala in May. However, she apparently doesn’t like people messing with her man.
According to rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, you don’t want to get on Queen Bey’s bad side because she’s a firecracker! In a recent radio interview with Power 105.1 on Monday, the “Candy Shop” hit maker recalled a not so pleasant experience he had with Beyoncé at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“One time [Beyoncé] jumped off of a ledge and came running over cause she thought me and Jay had issues. And I’m like, ‘What the f***? Did she really just jump and run up on me like that?'” 50 Cent told the radio show.
The 32-year-old songstress apparently thought her husband had some serious beef with the rapper, and she was quick to come to his side.
“She jumped out and I was like this, ‘What?! That Bonnie and Clyde for real! You try this or what, boy?! I’m here!’ She bugged out at me,” the rapper recalled. “I looked and Jay starts laughing. He’s like, ‘Yo, you know what it is.'”
Although we’re not sure what the problem between 50 Cent and Jay Z had been that evening, the two are certainly not best friends. 50 Cent previously briefly addressed the subject during a Sirius XM’s Shade 45 radio interview, the Daily Mail reports.
“You need someone to work off; everybody does, wherever you’re at. It doesn’t always have to be negative. I’m happy where I’m at, so why wouldn’t I be happy where he is,” the rapper said before continuing to comment on Jay Z’s retirement.
“You gotta say, “Where was Jay Z from 2003 to 2006?” I sold 23 million records between 2003 and 2006. He stopped making music and said I’m gonna go be the president of a record [company]. Like I quit.”
We’ve seen one of the Knowles sisters in action when Beyoncé’s sister Solange attacked Jay Z, so we can only imagine that you don’t want to mess with the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” hit maker either.
