Trouble! Harry Styles isn't happy with bandmates' joint video
The leaked video that shows One Direction stars Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson smoking a joint has angered many, including their fellow bandmate Harry Styles.
One Direction's young fans have been shocked by the leaked video that emerged on Tuesday that shows two of the band's members, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, laughing and joking about drug use while smoking a joint in Peru.
Now, the question of the band's future hangs in the balance because Malik and Tomlinson may be banned from touring the U.S. in the future because of their alleged drug use. No doubt this reckless behavior has upset boss Simon Cowell, who has worked hard to secure the band's North American success, but it also appears to have upset someone else — fellow 1D star Harry Styles.
According to the Daily Mirror, a source revealed to The Sun newspaper that Styles is very angry about the leaked video.
"Harry is annoyed about the whole debacle. This should be one of the biggest weeks of the band's career with the launch of their UK stadium tour," the source said. "Instead it has been taken over by this controversy. Harry thinks it was a stupid and reckless thing for Louis to allow to be filmed in the first place."
Apparently, Styles and fellow bandmates Niall Horan and Liam Payne have even distanced themselves from Malik and Tomlinson because of their behavior.
"Despite Harry's reputation, he's incredibly professional and mature, and not into these sorts of antics," the source added.
While the other members of One Direction are angry with their bandmates, the real backlash is going to fall on the shoulders of Tomlinson, 22, and Malik, 21, and apparently, they are anticipating having to do damage control.
"He was up checking his phone to see the reaction. He understands the whole world is talking and he is trying to work out how to limit the damage," the source said.
"Everything is about America. It would be a disaster if Zayn and Louis had problems. The authorities could make an example of them."
