Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell end their marriage
Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have decided to go their separate ways after a decade together and a 1-year-old son.
Only two years after being married, Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have decided to go their separate ways.
"Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have decided to separate," a rep for Wood and Bell told Us Weekly. "They both love and respect one another and will of course remain committed to co-parenting their son. This is a mutual decision and the two remain close friends."
Wood and Bell were together for nearly a decade, after having met on the set of a Green Day music video back in 2004. They were married in October 2012. A source explained, "They love each other so much but it just wasn't right."
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, back in July. Bell showed his support for his wife on social media at the time, calling her a "warrior" (he has since deleted his Twitter account).
At the time, it appeared everything was still going well in the marriage.
Wood has continued to work, even after marriage and a baby, and has talked about the struggle to juggle it all.
"I've been having separation anxiety because I'm so used to him being right here all the time," she said at a movie premiere back in November. "They kind of become a part of you, you know? It was my dream to be a mom, so I'm loving it. I love it."
That month was also the last time Wood and Bell appeared together on a red carpet.
Wood is currently working on at least four films, including Facing the Wind with Vera Farmiga and Rita Wilson. Bell is currently working on the new reboot of The Fantastic Four, along with Kate Mara.
