Constantly being under the scrutiny of the public eye must be difficult, and it’s even more difficult to maintain a sophisticated image when a gust of wind blows up your dress and leaves you with a rather unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.
This is what happened to the Duchess of Cambridge during her 2014 Royal Tour of New Zealand and Australia in April. However, her little mishap had gone unnoticed — until now.
According to Us Weekly, the German tabloid newspaper Bild decided that Tuesday, May 27, would be a good time to run the story of the brunette beauty’s bare butt, which was accidentally exposed after a helicopter caused a gust of wind to blow up her summer dress — an Ikat print wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg.
The unfortunate exposure happened after Middleton and her husband Prince William got off the chopper in Winmalee, Australia, on April 17, and Bild took advantage of the moment and added the 32-year-old royal’s bottom to their headline.
Bild‘s headline also included Kardashian sisters Kim and Khloé’s derrieres alongside a picture of the Duchess and the caption, “Khloé, Kim and Kate — butts which have moved us these past few days.”

The picture of Middleton was described as, “Photos show our favorite Duchess Kate, 32, in the Australian Blue Mountains. The rotor blades of the royal helicopter swirl the air so that Kate’s summer dress blew up — giving a clear view of her beautiful bum!”
Poor Kate. This is not the first picture she probably wishes the tabloids never got their hands on because, in 2012, topless pictures surfaced of her enjoying her the sun in Southern France.
