Sofia Vergara took to her WhoSays account to announce that she has split from fiancé Nick Loeb.
This weekend was all about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding, but another couple made headlines for not-so-happy reasons. On Saturday, Sofia Vergara took to her WhoSays account to announce that she has split from fiancé Nick Loeb.
In the message, Sofia explains that she has decided to reveal the news herself because it gives her a chance to avoid any drama with the press. “Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart,” she writes.
Vergara cites their professional endeavors as the reasons the duo haven’t had the opportunity to have the romantic time that most couples do. “We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together, and because of my work and now his, it’s been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore,” she bluntly says.
In the end, Vergara concluded the message by stressing that they two “are still very close” but feel that the split is the best thing for them at this time. Even though their ending may come as a surprise to many, a source tells People that the duo have been struggling for some time now.
Even though the couple was engaged for two years, SheKnows predicted that Vergara and Loeb were to finally marry sometime in 2014. Vergara made headlines back in 2012 when she was spotted with a ring during her 40th birthday celebration.
