Ben Affleck's Batman is so sad, it's sad
With the recent photo release of the new Batsuit and Batmobile, a superhero fan frenzy has exploded across the web in anticipation of the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. But extreme fans, like those of the Dave & Buster's Virginia Beach Instagram page (@dnbvabeach), noticed that Batman was looking a little sad. We think he was just having a bad day.
First, he didn't have anything to wear, other than this T-shirt of Ryan Gosling wearing a T-shirt of Macaulay Culkin.
It made him feel a bit like a cliché. He is Batman, after all. Who's going to take him seriously in a T-shirt?
Then, the fools put sugar in his coffee.
The Dark Knight takes his coffee black, folks. That would be a poor start to anyone's day.
Then, on his way to work, he got a ticket for speeding.
It made him late, and everyone knows what that will do to your day.
Then, he couldn't save Artax from the Swamp of Sadness.
Already thrown off his game by the morning's events, he failed his first mission. And Batman hates failure more than the Joker.
As if that wasn't bad enough, he got a phone call: Marley had to be put down.
Seriously, who didn't cry when they heard that news? I bawled like a little baby.
Super bummed, he decided to go back home and watch a movie, but that was a big mistake.
He rented Batman & Robin from 1997, featuring Chris O'Donnell and George Clooney. The movie was terrible, but... "holy handsome, Batman," Clooney is a looker, isn't he? That was when the bonbons came out and the binge eating began.
But then, it was time for a weigh-in on The Biggest Loser, and he had eaten so much that he gained 5 pounds.
What a day. When you can't even win at losing, you should probably just go back to bed.
So, he decided a cold beer and some friends would make him feel better...
But Carl and Ellie lost their baby, so nobody came.
At that point, even the happiest place on earth couldn't make Batman happy.
So cut him some slack, people. He's been training really, really hard to be a kick-a** crime fighter, but even the best of us have a bad day. We think he just needs a hug and a new T-shirt that says, "Because I'm Batman!" He'll perk right up.
