Morgan Freeman’s voice might be even more famous than his face, but that baritone just got a hilarious lift.

In a spot for The Science Channel’s show Through the Wormhole, Freeman takes several huge huffs off a helium balloon — and the results are hilarious.

The episode is about how black holes have unexpected effects on the matter surrounding them, and the demo is meant to show how helium has an unexpected effect on the vocal chords.

Freeman, who won an Oscar for his role in Million Dollar Baby and was nominated for Street Smart, Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption and Invictus, is also well-known for lending his voice to documentaries like March of the Penguins, Born to Be Wild and Breaking the Taboo.

The fifth season of Through the Wormhole debuts June 4, 2014 on The Science Channel.
