Continuing to fuel romance rumors, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis reportedly showed some PDA despite their denials that there is romance between them.
Stepping out for a fun dinner in New York City on Thursday, May 22, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis were seen getting very cozy by an onlooker.
After denying rumors that they are an item, the DWTS champs were spotted celebrating their win with dinner and dancing at New York’s TAO restaurant, Us Weekly reported. “Maks and Meryl were super touchy-feely,” a source said.
“Before dinner they were in a corner talking really close,” the eyewitness continued. “He kept kissing her on the forehead and was doting on her. He had his arm around her waist and shoulders a ton.”
Meanwhile, another insider close to Chmerkovskiy said that the pro dancer and the Olympic gold medalist aren’t romantically together just yet. The pal added that the Ukrainian is always affectionate with women. “That’s how he is, very touchy-feely. He genuinely adores her, but it’s not dating yet.” (Yet?)
However, the fan-favorite dance duo continues to send mixed signals about their relationship and is doing a great job at keeping coy about it. When they appeared on the Wendy Williams show, they were flat-out asked if they were “smooshing.” The duo looked confused at the expression, but when Williams said it meant were they were sleeping together and dating, the two paused before answering.
Chmerkovskiy didn’t say anything, but just turned to Davis with a smirk and let her answer. After exchanging a quick glance with her partner, she went ahead and said no.
“We’re not dating, no,” Davis smiled. But, when further prodded if she had a boyfriend, the ice skater looked at Chmerkovskiy again and said, “We like to keep our personal lives personal.”
The adorable couple left it at that, but not before Chmerkovskiy nervously grabbed Davis’ hand with both of his as Williams got ready to display a clip of him wearing nothing but a hat over his privates. The fun video also included the dancer’s brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, who joined in for the fun video as part of a People magazine photo shoot.
