Star Wars: Episode VII is about to begin filming, and the three original stars were all spotted nearby over the weekend. So what could it mean for the franchise?
Are they or aren’t they? That is the big question surrounding the three main stars of the original Star Wars trilogy, and whether they will be appearing in Episodes VII-IX. Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford have gone on to have careers of varying success, and although Hamill and Fisher have mentioned they will be in the new films, there still hasn’t been any confirmation.
But could the fact that all three have been spotted in London in the last few days mean something big for Episode VII? According to Entertainment Weekly, filming is just about to begin at Pinewood Studios in London, and all three stars were spotted nearby over the weekend.
Ford was first spotted at the Hakkasan restaurant in London on April 24, and then was out at Grosvenor Square on Saturday, April 26. Fisher has been open about her role in the new films, but it has seemed like it could be more of a wish and less of a fact. However, she sent out a tweet over the weekend suggesting she was in the city.
So my do dog Gary has been spotted in London, but apparently without me. Who has he been seeing? Let me know if you have any clues.

The most important piece of information may have come from Peter Serafinowicz, who voiced Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. He tweeted a photo with Mark Hamill over the weekend, with a message that served as a big clue.

No casting news has been made official, but it looks like Chewbacca will be returning for the newest films. While the appearances of all three actors in London could be a coincidence, the chances they are there to appear in Star Wars: Episode VII are looking pretty good.
Episode VII is expected in theaters in December 2015.
