Uma Thurman, Arpad Busson split again, end engagement
Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson have split up again and reportedly ended their engagement.
For the second time, Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson have called it quits and reportedly put an end to their engagement.
After Thurman was spotted at a recent event without Busson and not wearing her engagement ring, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that the pair has split up. "It's true," the source said, adding that Busson was scheduled to attend the Room to Grow Spring Gala fundraiser event with his ex-fiancée, but she went alone because they are no longer an item.
Additionally, The Daily Mail also reported on Easter Sunday, April 20, that the couple had broken up. On-and-off again since 2007, Thurman and Busson broke their first engagement in 2009, only to get back together in 2011. The couple got engaged again and Thurman gave birth to their daughter in 2012.
While she didn't mention her relationship status at the fundraiser, Thurman did talk about her little girl, who is named Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson, saying it's been a blur to see her grow so fast. "It's shockingly rapid," the actress said of her 21-month-old baby.
"I mean, especially having a child later," Thurman added. "You barely have a chance to touch them before they're spinning off in the universe."
Incidentally, Thurman was spotted back in January with her ex Ethan Hawke and their two children, Maya, 15, and Levon, 11, when they went skiing together. The two have remained friends since their divorce and often hang out with their kids. The pair was at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Park City, Utah, to promote their new movies — Thurman's Nymphomaniac and Hawke's Boyhood — at the Sundance Film Festival.
Busson, a London-based financier, also has two boys, Aurelius 11, and Arpad, 16, from his previous relationship with Elle Macpherson, who he has also remained on friendly terms with.
