Lake Bell and Tom Hardy go topless on the cover of Esquire
Lake Bell and Tom Hardy are a topless twosome on Esquire magazine's latest covers. Whose skin-baring photo catches your eye the most?
Lake Bell and Tom Hardy are both flashing a fair amount of flesh on each of their Esquire magazine covers.
Posing in nothing but sheer tights, the brunette beauty opened up about her long-held passion for acting.
"I was tirelessly motivated, because I felt very clear about what I wanted to do," the 35-year-old Million Dollar Arm star confessed of her childhood ambitions to grab the spotlight.
Bell went on to explain, "I didn't fully understand what it meant to be an actor, but I knew it was someone who gets to play different characters, gets to pretend to be in different worlds, and gets to make people laugh or feel. I'm sure there was some sort of validation, where the attention is on me and I can make people laugh; that's normal kid stuff. But then it started to gestate into something more complicated and exciting and very fulfilling."
"Marriage is traditionally old-school in many respects," the newlywed also shared. "It is highly antiquated, and, that being said, beautiful."
While it's hard to look away from Bell's side-boob-baring cover, there's another star who has taken his top off for Esquire, too.
Showing off his toned physique, as well as quite a few tattoos, the 35-year-old actor downplayed his rough and tough image.
"I don't feel very manly. I don't feel rugged and strong and capable in real life, not how I imagine a man ought to be," Hardy explained.
"So I seek it, to mimic it and maybe understand it, or maybe to draw it into my own reality. People who are scary, they terrify me, but I can imitate them. I'm not a fighter. I'm a petite little bourgeois boy from London. I don't fight, I mimic."
When asked about his supposed feud with Mad Max: Fury Road co-star, Charlize Theron, the muscly hunk shared he finds the gossip "disappointing."
Speaking of the actress, he gushed, "I think she's f***ing awesome. I think she's incredible. I think she's one of the most talented actresses of our generation. But it's very interesting, the concept of what danger is, and this has nothing to do with Charlize Theron or Mad Max, actually, but this has to do with life in general."
Their flick isn't due in theaters until 2015, but you can read more about both Hardy and Bell when the dual-cover May issue of Esquire arrives April 22.
