Glee's Naya Rivera and Big Sean call off engagement
Just about a year after announcing their relationship, Big Sean has announced he and Naya Rivera have ended their engagement.
Their relationship began on Twitter, and now it looks like it's going to end in the public eye. Just a few months after Glee's Naya Rivera and rapper Big Sean announced their engagement, they have announced they are calling it off.
"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," Big Sean's rep told Us Weekly. "The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."
Those "recent rumors and accusations" include a tabloid report that Sean cheated on Rivera, but a friend of the rapper's told Us Weekly, "Sean did not cheat on Naya and the allegations are 100% false and untrue."
Rivera and Big Sean were engaged last October, after dating (at least, publicly) for only six months. The wedding was in the works, and Rivera was seen out shopping for wedding dresses soon after the engagement. They never revealed a wedding date, though.
The Glee actress was in Cosmopolitan for Latinas for their spring issue and did nothing but gush about her future husband, saying one day he would be a "great father."
"He's so kind to people, but he also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love," she said. "We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it's even sweeter that I've found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute."
Rivera has not yet commented on the broken engagement.
