Divergent, the upcoming film adaptation of Veronica Roth's novel series, is being met with immense excitement, and fans cannot wait for the movie to debut.
And the Divergent cast is packed with famous faces, including Ashley Judd, Kate Winslet, Shailene Woodley and one of the hottest young Hollywood stars right now, Theo James.
The actor stars opposite Woodley's character Beatrice "Tris" Prior and plays the character of Tobias "Four" Eaton — a member of the faction Dauntless and her love interest.
Whilst this may not be James' acting debut (he has starred in the CBS crime drama series Golden Boy and as Mr. Pamuk in Downton Abbey) his star is certainly rising thanks to his role in Divergent.
So what does it feel like to be in the center of the Divergent fan craze? Can the movie stand alone without being compared to any other franchises?
"In all honesty, I really hope the film has its own journey and it doesn't have any ... in a way that it's not paralleled or compared to things because, I think after seeing it Sunday, in a relieved way, Shai [Shailene Woodley] and I were like, 'This is a genuinely good, stand-alone, fun thriller,'" James revealed to On The Red Carpet.
And there has been plenty of talk about the on-screen chemistry between Woodley and James although their characters' relationship is not a typically romantic one.
So what makes them different from other on-screen couples?
"I think first and foremost is the characters that Veronica created. They're an interesting couple, they're from a lot of couples you see, there's not a whole lot of heavy breathing and eyelashes being batted. It's more about something kind of deeper than that," James revealed.
Divergent opens in theaters today, Friday, March 21, and you can find out what happens between James and Woodley's characters then.
