Jada Pinkett Smith loves her new curves
Jada Pinkett Smith loves herself, and a new Facebook post proves that body confidence comes from within.
Jada Pinkett Smith has always been a confident, beautiful woman, but her new statements show how proud she is of her body, no matter how it changes.
Pinkett Smith posted a photo of herself on her Facebook page, along with daughter Willow and husband Will Smith, saying, "My girlfriend sent me this pic, and I could clearly see the weight I've gained which is about… 8-10 pounds. I think I will keep it. I like being a lil… fuller ;)"
The photo she posted was taken of the actress and her family at a UFC match on Feb. 22. Less than a week after the photo was posted, nearly 5,000 people have shared it and more than 300,000 people have "liked" it, showing what an inspiration her comments are for women everywhere.
"Here's to loving our bodies by our own standards," she added.
This isn't the first time Pinkett Smith has taken to Facebook to share her deepest thoughts. Back in September, she took to the social media site to talk about her "several kinds" of addictions.
"What I learned about myself is this, when I was younger I was not a good problem solver, meaning I had a very difficult time with dealing with my problems in life," she wrote. "What I hope is that we all continue to gain [a] healthy understanding that life is really about, solving problems, and also about us learning to become masters at solving them."
This time, she is talking about a different subject, but is again showing her fans she is just a regular person.
According to the New York Daily News, that weight gain very possibly came from her role as Fish Mooney in the new Batman TV show Gotham. She is also in the middle of filming The Penguins of Madagascar, set to be out in 2015.
While Pinkett Smith loves her new body, she does have one concern about the weight gain.
"Let's just hope it will fit in the Oscars dress."
