This weekend, everyone took time to remember the first British invasion, when the Beatles came to America and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. But now we think it's time you sat up and took notice of the next wave of the invasion, Matt Goss.
This talented and damn good-lookin' singer-songwriter from London has been making music for more than two decades. Goss began his time in the music industry in the '80s boy band Bros. In the mid-1990s, though, Goss was ready for more of that spotlight and struck out on his own. During his time performing, he has released four hits that made the Top 40 on the U.K. charts. He even had one song, "Firefly," reach the top spot on the World Trance Charts. Still not satisfied, Goss is coming at us again with his brand-new EP, I Do.
If Goss is new to your musical universe, don't let his boy-band days or chart-topping trance track scare you off. He's a man who likes dabblin' in everything. Goss' latest work offers a more classic sound. His voice and musical stylings are more reminiscent of Frank Sinatra or the more modern Michael Bublé. Goss' hit from last year, "When Will I Be Famous?" included big-band backing and came with a video of Goss decked out in a suit and ready for the jazz club. And, as you can see, the man can pull off a fedora.
There's a sexiness and a fun vibe to I Do that will keep you dancing on the kitchen floor, either alone or with your valentine. We're totally in love with Goss, and admittedly, we may be pretending he's asking us to say "I do." It's hard not to get caught up in that sultry voice, sexy accent and sweet, retro music. We think you'll fall pretty hard, too, once you take a listen. Enjoy streaming I Do today for free, then make sure to purchase it on Feb. 11 so you never have to stop swooning along.
Bonus: If you want to see this gorgeous and talented man in concert, he performs in the Gossy Room at Caesar's Palace every weekend. We'll be the girls in the front row.
