Anna Kendrick has adorkable Grammy meeting with Beyoncé
Anna Kendrick was on Conan and very humorously described how she met Beyonce at the Grammys.
During her appearance on Conan, Anna Kendrick was very hilarious as she described meeting Beyoncé at the Grammys this weekend.
Excitedly talking about her time attending the Grammys, Kendrick went into detail about how she came to stand face-to-face with Beyoncé after some deliberate pass-by walks near the singer with her friends.
"I know everybody is, but I'm totally obsessed with Beyoncé," Kendrick joked. "I walked past Beyoncé at one point, and because I'm not worthy, I didn't look at her."
Then, when Conan O'Brien asked if she and her friends went by Beyoncé on purpose just to get a closer look at the iconic pop star, she admitted they did.
"[Me and my friends] did make a detour down the front just to walk past Beyoncé... We thought, 'We'll just walk past her and get some of her aura.'" Kendrick continued. "We walk past and my friend was like, 'Dude, she was motioning to you and you just walked past her! And I panicked! I mean, I didn't know quite what to do, but I thought, 'Once in a lifetime, just do it.' I went back and I was like, 'I'm so sorry to do this, I just wanted to meet you. You're such an inspiration.' And she stood up — she was so nice — and she points to Jay Z and was like, 'Oh, we just watched you on the Kennedy Center Honors. You were so great. You were so cute in your little red dress."
Kendrick noted how Beyoncé pointed out her red dress, "which means that she actually watched it... Or it means that I was having a stroke and I imagined the entire thing."
But, fortunately for her, she did not imagine the meeting and even has a photo of the epic interaction to prove it. Posting it on Instagram, Kendrick adorned the image of her with Beyoncé with a pretty heart around the pair. "You put this around it," O'Brien said of the superimposed heart.
Ever the cute smartie, Kendrick replied innocently, "No, that was just there."
