Tori Spelling's husband in rehab: Sex addiction to blame?
Dean McDermott confirmed he has entered rehab after persistent rumors he has been cheating on wife Tori Spelling.
There's more trouble in paradise for Tori Spelling: The reality star's husband confirmed he has entered rehab.
Dean McDermott confirmed to People that he is undergoing treatment at a rehab facility after months of speculation that he's been cheating on his famous wife and that the couple is close to being broke.
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," he told People in an exclusive statement. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
While McDermott was not crystal clear on what issues he's being treated for, reading between the lines one can definitely infer that the cheating rumors might be more than just rumors. Is he in therapy for sex addiction?
Spelling and McDermott were both married to others when they began a clandestine relationship on-set in 2005. They divorced their spouses and wed in 2006, adding four children to their family in rapid succession.
The family's life has been the subject of multiple reality shows and books, but while Spelling has always tried to create a picture-perfect presentation, behind the scenes things may not have been so rosy.
In December a woman came forward claiming to be McDermott's mistress, revealing that he told her that he and Spelling have a "sexless marriage."
So does this spell the end for the couple? A friend told People that while Spelling is "devastated," she hasn't made any decisions yet.
"She could stay with him or not," the insider said. "God only knows."
