The Wanted fans were left heartbroken when they discovered their favorite boy band member Nathan Sykes had a girlfriend. The "Show Me Love" hit maker was previously romantically linked to the lovely Ariana Grande.

However, Sykes is believed to once again be single, but not long before the pair decided to call time on their relationship, Grande revealed some secrets about their first date in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

The "Almost Is Never Enough" singer said, "We were going back to his hotel to watch a movie, and he had Ladurée macarons and sunflowers waiting — I love Parisian baked goods, and sunflowers are my favorite flower."

"He had taken the DVD player out of the bedroom and into the living room, because he said he didn't want to take me into the bedroom on the first date."

What a sweet and romantic guy Sykes appears to be. However, now that he has found himself single once more — after the pair split after just three months of dating — he's willing to work for the attention of any lady who catches his eye.

According to Contact Music, Sykes revealed to We Love Pop magazine that he enjoys the thrill of the chase and will initially work hard to impress a girl.

The British star confessed, "I don't know I really like the chase. I like to work hard to impress a girl. But at the same time I'd be too nervous to be like, 'Yeah, she likes me, so I'm going to act really cool.'"

"Also, if I thought she didn't like me I'd be like, 'I'm too scared to chase!'"

Sykes also said he likes when a girl drops a few hints that she likes him, too. He admitted, "Maybe a tiny bit of a hint. Before I've had a small hint and thought 'Yeah? OK...' then straight after I'm like, 'Oh God, this is terrible. I'm gonna embarrass myself!'"

So ladies, there's still hope — start hinting!
