Despite all of Miley Cyrus‘ antics, she is actually a very savvy businesswoman. It looks like her twerking, pot-smoking ways have made her a very wanted woman in the world of pop culture. One designer is using Cyrus’ very unique style to promote his new line.
Designer Marc Jacobs announced on Wednesday that he has hired Cyrus to be the face of his Spring 2014 fashion.
Jacobs and Cyrus have a past together, and she’s way more than a pretty face to him — she’s a fan of the designer’s. In the last year alone, Cyrus has been seen out with Jacobs, or out wearing his clothes, numerous times. She showed up the Met gala in May in a black mesh gown designed by Jacobs, and posed naked in Jacobs’ campaign “Protect The Skin You’re In,” according to Entertainment Weekly. She also presented him with the Superstar Award at the Fashion Group International Awards later in the year.
Cyrus has always had her own style, and she thanks Jacobs for giving her that sense of herself, way back when she was a rising Disney star.
“He kind of brought me into fashion like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and learning from him,” she explained, via EW. “He kind of let me inspire some of his pieces.”
Jacobs made the announcement Wednesday via his company’s Twitter page.
The first glimpse at his new campaign features Cyrus, along with a girl lying in the background who appears to be dead.
Cyrus also tweeted her own image of the photo shoot, this time with sunglasses.
Signing as the face of his new campaign may be a dream job for the singer while introducing Jacobs’ clothes to a whole new generation.
