They’ve been friends since their days on Scrubs. Now Zach Braff is godfather to Donald Faison’s son and he’s taking the job seriously.
They were good buddies on the show and they are good friends in real life. On Wednesday, Zach Braff shared the most adorable photo with the son of his best bud, Donald Faison. The two actors grew close during their run on Scrubs from 2001-2010.
He shared a photo on Twitter and wrote a hilarious caption, “Me and my god son. Made with @donald_faison’s sperm.”
While that may be more information than most fans want to know, the photo is enough to make every heart melt. The 38-year-old actor is making a goofy face at the camera while 4-month-old Rocco gives a joyous toothless grin.
Braff’s godson was born in August to Faison and his wife CaCee Cobb. The couple got married at the Garden State director’s house last December after a 16-month engagement. Cobb is familiar to MTV audiences as Jessica Simpson’s best friend and former assistant from her Newlyweds reality show.
As for Braff, there are no babies in his future for now. He’s focusing on his professional life. He recently wrapped Wish I Was Here which was produced as a part of his successful Kickstarter campaign. The comic actor wrote, directed and starred in the film with Ashley Greene, Kate Hudson, Jim Parsons and Faison.
The former NBC star is also hitting the Great White Way this spring in the musical adaptation of Woody Allen’s film Bullets Over Broadway. The show is expected to have its official opening on April 10.
