Paris Hilton didn't get a dime from her sex tape
Celebrities love their sex tapes and Paris Hilton's was particularly popular, although the star claims she did not see a dime from its earnings.
Paris Hilton hardly needs more money, but she claims that she never got a cent from her infamous sex tape with ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon.
The "Stars Are Blind" singer got instant fame when her ex-boyfriend decided to get revenge and leak the footage of them doing the nasty when she was just 21.
The sex tape was later released as a DVD with a rather catchy title 1 Night in Paris, which Hilton approved.
TMZ is pretty good at getting confessions from people and when they approached the hotel heiress at LAX Airport on Monday, she was quick to reveal that the sex tape did her bank balance no favors.
Hilton revealed, "I never made a dollar, not one."
"I make enough money in nice ways, my fragrance makes enough, I don't need to worry about that."
However, someone who is coining off Hilton's X-rated film — besides ex-boyfriend Salomon who reported he made a whopping $10 million in the first year alone, thanks to the little home movie — is a Slovenian website that goes by the name ParisHiltonPornVideos.com.
Hilton confessed to TMZ, "I don't like people using my name to make money, especially in such a gross way. I had no idea [about the site] until I read about it on TMZ."
The 32-year-old beauty has moved on with her life, but has previously admitted that making the notorious tape has been one of her biggest regrets. Hilton revealed to Piers Morgan in 2011 that it was "the most embarrassing, humiliating thing that has ever happened to me in my life."
