Sharon Osbourne makes nice with the ladies of The View
Sharon Osbourne manned up and apologized to the ladies of The View for her "irreverent" remarks and telling them to go f*** themselves.
The Talk co-host retracted her insults and expletive rant when she went off on the hosts of rival show The View while on the Arsenio Hall Show recently. After her remarks were plastered on headlines all over the internet, Osbourne retracted her words and asked for forgiveness while on her show on Thursday, Nov. 7.
"I have to own this. I'm fully responsible for myself — some of the time. And unfortunately, I was inappropriate," she said. "I was trying to be funny at someone else's expense."
Osbourne continued to say that, "It was the ladies of The Talk. We were asked a question about The Talk," and when Gilbert interrupted, correcting her mistake, saying, "The View, you mean?" Osbourne quipped, "Oh... The View. See?! I'm not well! I'm not responsible. I'm really just a loose cannon."
But she continued on with her apology, and got more serious about the matter.
"Anyway, I want to apologize to Jenny, Sherri and Whoopi, who are all accomplished, self-made women who have amazing careers," Osbourne said. "And really, I can't even get the name of my own show right. So, please understand, it was my irreverent, irreverent behavior, and no disrespect meant. And I'm not a person who is mean, I'm really not. And I apologize."
It all started when Osbourne and her fellow hosts on The Talk — Sara Gilbert, Sheryl Underwood, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen — were asked by Arsenio Hall what was the difference between their show and The View. As Chen tried to answer, Osbourne cut in after throwing her drinking cup up in the air and rolling her eyes.
"Cut to the chase! Stop being polite. Cut to the f***ing chase!" she yelled. "This is the situation. The situation is Barbara [Walters], idolize her. Divine. She's superhuman. I love Barbara Walters. The rest can go f*** themselves."
